Which guide is for me?

Find your use case below to get started with the right guide for your needs.

  • Desktop App Quick Start: If you want to quickly try out Platforma on your own computer, this is the fastest way to start. You'll use the self-contained Desktop App with its built-in backend.

➡️  Go to the Desktop App Setup Guide

  • Run Analysis on a Remote Server via SSH: If you have a powerful remote server (like an HPC) and want to run computations there without a complex setup, this is a great option.

➡️  Jump to the "Run Over SSH" section

  • Standalone Backend Service: If you are setting up a shared, persistent server for your lab or core facility, this is the most powerful and collaborative option.

➡️  Go to the Standalone Backend Service Guide

  • Backend on Windows with WSL: If you are a Windows user and want to run all Platforma blocks locally, this guide shows you how to set up a backend in WSL.
